"Madea's Big Happy Family"

On the 97th Anniversary of the founding of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., sorors attended Tyler Perry's play,"Madea's Big Happy Family". If you were not in attendance, you missed a treat! The Arts and Letters Commission encourages everyone to see this play if you can. Madea made sorors laugh, cry and left us inspired to continue making a difference on the most important date of the sorority.

Project ART: Actively Redefining Together

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority recently launched a national arts initiative, Project ART: Actively Redefining Together. As a major initiative of the National Commission on Arts and Letters, project ART is a collective effort to support, nurture and uplift positive programming while rejecting demeaning and harmful images in all forms of entertainment and media. Project Art was revealed with our support of Bishop T.D. Jake's new movie, "Not Easily Broken."

All across the U.S., members of the sorority were asked to support this new movie. Here in Sacramento, 20 Sorors attended the premier at the Century theater. Read more about Project ART.
